Wanted to love them but not meant to be!

Had heard from some hikers that live these, and I wanted a solid fairly traditional boot that protected, sturdy and could take long miles. I’d also read sizing was accurate. I’ve ordered half size up, as looking for long distance and that is typical for swelling, offer a little toe space on descent etc. So I’d a couple of 3-4m to feel and break in, then couple of 7-8 m hikes, with some rocks, roots, some road walking, and a few hundred feet elevation and descent. Even with heel kick and surgeons knot, found my big toes slip to just touch end. Initially liked the secure feeling of foot cup, but after 8 m I was very happy to take them off. Hesitant to order any larger as would slip more. On flat ground they feel ok, are warm and they are a nice looking boot. Just not right for my feet. And they are fairly pricey, cannot be returned after using so will pass on at a good deal for someone else to try- feet are all different!
