Birkenstocks often come in both a Regular and a Narrow width. People with narrow to average feet are best in the narrow width. Those with fuller feet or have a European-shaped foot might be best in their regular width.

The Birkenstock Rio Silver Birkoflor is a functional sandal that features an adjustable ankle and toe strap which gives a secure fit. The EVA blended cork is lightweight and flexible. The upper material is a synthetic material made of acrylic and polyamide felt fiber that is comfortable and tear-resistant. The classic Birkenstock footbed features pronounced arch support, a deep heel cup, and a roomy toe box.
