The Merino wool fibers used in Smartwool socks are longer than conventional wool sock fibers. This extra length creates a knitted yarn that is itch-free and soft to the touch. To reduce itching and shrinkage, the socks are put through a special process which removes the microscopic ends of the fibers. The result? The most comfortable sock you'll own! Each style of Smartwool sock may have unique fit charateristics, but in general the socks follow the below sizing chart. For care, SmartWool socks are machine washable in cold or warm water and you can tumble dry on low. For best results, follow the care instructions that comes with each product.
